♥ the stuff of legend.

did you know that the louis vuitton started out as a trunk maker's assistant and
a professional packer for wealthy clients, such as napoleon & his wife, eugenie?
it was this hands on experience that later gave him inspiration to create his
signature flat bottomed luggage that was stackable, air tight, waterproof,
and roomy enough to fit the wardrobe of an empress or an heiress.

the LV monogram, complete with quatrefoils and flowers was originally
patented as a way to combat counterfeiting, which is to this day,
is still one of the fashion house's biggest issues.

this video and it's corresponding book celebrates the craftsmanship
and beauty that has, throughout history, distinguished LV trunks
from all the rest. LoVe!
