♥ that's a honey of an anklet.

truth be told- i have not worn an anklet in ages-

but when my sister brought home a few beaded souvenirs from her

trip to puerto plata, i chose the one that went best with my nail polish,

and fell in love with the way something so simple 

could make me feel so summery.

♥ footloose and fancy free.

tonight i watched carefree(1938), a classic ginger rogers/fred astaire film

that showcased the dancing duo's fancy footwork & a number of fancy frocks

that (for me) completely stole the show.

i still don't really get what hashtags are all about.

♥ simple summer salad.

last month, our friends served a ridiculously delicious dish at their wedding.

 it consisted of farro, watermelon, and feta cheese- with a hint of lemon juice.

 simple ingredients, with flavors that complement each other in the best way :)

i urge you to try it as soon as possibly possible, and let me know how

you LOVE it!

♥ to the moon and back.

if you had a chance to look out your window last night, you may have

 noticed that this month's full moon looked a lot bigger and brighter

than usual, and that is because it was a whole lot closer.

this year's super moon was a stunner- and reminded me alot 

of russian artist leonid tishkov, whose collection,

aptly named, private moon, is about

"a man who found the moon

and stayed with her the

rest of his life."

i am so in love with these photographs,

and even more so, the sweeping and romantic

 story behind them.

domenico dolce & steffano gabbana were arrested this week for

tax evasion and sentenced to 18 months in jail- which means that the

italian fashion scene is going to be a whole lot duller and alot

 less colorful. let's hope they find a way to evade the police!

the next best thing to having a real kitty folded up in your arms,

is having a plastic kitty, hanging about your neck or stacked onto

your favorite finger. which is exactly why i would love
to get my little paws all over i love crafty's 
feline fatale collection. 
it's kitty purrfection!

♥ she's dressed in yellow, she says hello.

dreary, cloudy days like today call for colorful grandma mumu

 dresses to keep sunshine in your heart and a smile on your face :)

i found this quilted number last year at the goodwill, and it has 

served me well, considering it probably once belonged

to a little old lady with butterscotch candies

in her pocket & moth balls

in her closet.

the same goes for your feet.

i am loving these bright and joyful loafers recently sent

 to me from the lovely people at hush puppies. not only are they cozy

 and comfortable, but their happy color definitely 

adds a little spring to my step!
