♥ beauty is embarrassing.

last weekend i watched beauty is embarrassing (2012), 

a documentary about artist, wayne white. 

although the name may not sound familiar- his body of work is something

that you will immediately recognize. co-creator of pee wee's playhouse,

art director for smashing pumpkin's best video ever tonight, tonight, 

and more recently he has made a name for himself with his 

word paintings that he creates using a little thrift store art

and a whole lot of genius.

his works have been criticized of  being too simple, too gimmicky--
but they are inspiring in their irreverence. i love the fact that his most popular
paintings are the ones with the f*word in it.
how hilarious and amazing is that?
