♥ orange you glad?

(source.)

ever since watching this beguiling, bold–lipped beauty in the j crew 2010 ad,
i have been infatuated with the idea of wearing bright orange lipstick.

i think what i like most about it is the fact that unlike red lipstick,
orange is such a disgustingly fabulous color that it begs people to look a
bit longer, to remark on how brave you are for wearing such an
unpredictable color and also to decide after a few moments
of quiet reflection that they actually love the way
the color looks on you. because even though
it doesn't go with anything, it somehow
magically goes with everything.

this weekend i turned in six old mac makeup products for one
brand spanking new lipstick (did you know about their recycling program?)

i got morange, which i am sure is short for "MORE orange,"
which is definitely what every lip needs every now and again.

now, orange you glad i wrote this post?

  15. WOW! Gorgeous!! I wonder if a tanless blond girl like myself could pull it off?! Love it on you!

  16. I adore this shade, though I am worried I won't be able to pull it off with my pale skin.
Maybe I should just bit the bullet and give it a shot?

In regards to your comment about the dress on my blog, there is no marked size but it would be a small-medium. The beauty of it is that it can be belted which makes it smaller. I would say it wouldn't fit bigger than a US 8.

    :)

  17. just look at the girl at the top! she is pale and the orange totally works. why? because it looks so ridiculously bright on her, and yet looks so good! sometimes things don't have to make sense to look well :) buy the lipstick!
