♥ you know what i did last summer.

as the older sister of a very good baseball player growing up,

 i spent a lot of my summers sitting on bleachers with my parents, my sisters,

my books and my trusty box of embroidery floss. i made friendship bracelets 

of all shapes, colors, and sizes, and even sold them, on occasion.

and while my brother's baseball days are long gone, 

my love for summertime bracelet-making hasn't changed. 

there is something so right about the swift & nimble movement

 of fingers that these intricate patterns require. i could do it mindlessly 

for hours on end and never get bored.
