talua's new favorite place to nap is this itty bitty sliver

of space between my bicycle and the radiator.

i so wish we could trade places for a day.

the ladies at new brahmin recently teamed up with erin gates

of elements of style to style a gorgeous editorial: a feast of fancy

brimming with baubles, festooned with flashy accessories

and bubbling with bold prints. LOVE!

and if you're like me and find yourself wishing you could somehow

pull together an outfit bursting with the same unexpected punch of color

as erin's tablescape, feast your eyes on sass & bide's latest fall collection

which definitely contains the same elements of ms. gates' style.

♥ an affair to remember.

coco chanel & igor stravinsky(2009) opened with a lot less

fanfare than the audrey tatou biopic coco avant chanel (2009),

but in my opinion was a much better representation of the strong-

willed, ego-driven designer who knew what she wanted

(a perfume with her name on it, another woman's husband..)

and got it. based on the book coco & igor, this film re-imagines

the torrid love affair that is rumored to have taken place between

the famous designer and the russian composer.

♥ it's greek to me.

the greek key or meander is a pattern made from a continuous line,

which is believed to recall the meandering path of the maeander river of

asia minor and also to symbolize infinity and unity.

once used as a decorative element in greek & roman art and architecture,

this labyrinth-like border is still as powerful a design today as it was in

ancient times. you may notice that it is still everywhere in interior as

well as fashion design.

for the versace spring 2011 ready to wear collection, donatella

employed the greek key throughout a number of looks, which

is one of the fashion house's oldest signatures.

also known as "athenaeum" is his most famous piece,

and one which looks amazing in all kinds of

interiors. i kinda need one.

i am one of those people who could eat breakfast food for any meal of the day.
