♥ in the depths of winter I finally learned there was in me an invincible summer.

early last summer, i visited my friend maggie on the farm she now manages.

nick was doing some electrical work in their greenhouse and i came by

to see him in action, and to see what vegetables look like growing

in the earth! (did you know broccoli grows like a flower??)

anyway-maggie noticed i had put in a pair of strawberry earrings for the visit-

 and she asked me, "sami- did you dress for the farm?"--maybe i did!

and maybe on cold days like this past week, i wish i could be

standing in that greenhouse again, gathering warmth and

watching things grow.
