(spotted on don't shoe me)
for the fashion-lover that i am, i honestly have very little interest in
men's clothing- and thank my lucky stars every day when i stand in my
closet contemplating my wardrobe in it's infinite potential--
that i was born a lady.
while i could honestly fall asleep if i stay too long in the men's section
of any given department store, i have to say the closet of stylist,
shail upadhya, would probably be the only thing i would
that could keep me awake! referring to his custom-designed,
hand-painted suits as "wearable art," shail's outrageous
personal style has been captured numerous times
by bill cunningham for the new york times-
(whose documentary i still have to go see!!)
He reminds me of the saying, "Only boring people get bored." I bet he hasn't been bored a second in his life!
ReplyDeleteDarling, I always see him in the tents...he is like everywhere! I love that he doesn't give a F***about what anyone thinks and is so free expressing himself. You have to admire that! I have yet to see Bill Cunningham's movie too!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletecheck them out! first, lemme say I love that twain quote! ha! and i am so bad a guy fashion. even after having a baby boy, the only clothes that call to me in the stores are for little girls! gotta change that. also yay! won the giveaway, i am about to email you now! xox
ReplyDeleteVery...interesting, haha!
ReplyDeleteFinally, a man who insists on having as much with fashion as women do! And seriously, every day I am so pleased that I was born female. If only for the shoes and purses and skirts and jewelry.
ReplyDeleteI love that he has so much fun with his clothes. And yes, you MUST go see the Bill Cunningham documentary!
ReplyDeleteomg, these guys are too awesome.
ReplyDeleteI would steal from his wardrobe
