here is a re-enactment of the evening i met joan didion.

me: "omg- i think that is joan didion!!! is it?"

everyone else: "p diddy??!!  where?"

me: "does anybody read?"

while she may be very small in stature, joan didion

has an enormous body of work- that can hardly

be overlooked. and she had pretty fabulous

style back in the day.
