tonight i will be doing something i have never done before-
i will be boarding a plane by myself to take a short trip
to washington, dc, where i will spend two evenings
in a hotel, in my own room, all alone.
to those of you who are well-traveled and more
worldly than i, this may sound pretty silly,
but i feel very proud of myself for facing
my fears and doing something
that scares me.
Good for you! Good luck with facing your fear - I think it's the best way to get over them.
ReplyDeleteI found your blog through Brianne Lee who used to live in Boston. I'm in Boston too and now following you!
I think its great that you're doing this! I've never travelled on my own either and I want to but I don't know how well I'd handle it! I'm sure you'll have a great time and become a solo world traveler

I totally understand! Bon chance, Sami (enjoy your alone time)!
ReplyDeleteI remember feeling so grownup (and nervous) when I first boarded a plane by myself. After doing it for the past 6 years (always by myself) it's no big deal. In fact, I think I'm one of those few people that loves airports. I really do... Of course, the fact that 85% of the population can't function without using a cell phone 100% of the time is kind of annoying.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, good luck! And enjoy it! Relish it! I think it would be kinda fun to stay in a hotel room by myself for a few days!
