all this weekend i have been listening to feist's new album, metals,
letting the tinny drums, the tuneful chords and haunting voices
wash over me like some waves upon a distant shore.
unlike her past two albums, let it die & the reminder, i am not
immediately in love- and hope that with time it can
grow to be just as much of a favorite.
what i am in love with at first sight are these images from this intimate
& very exclusive concert played a few weeks ago with feist and fellow
friends & musicians in a crypt in harlem. how cool would it have been to be there?
have you heard this album yet?
what do you think of it?
have to take a listen again myself! x
ReplyDeleteThose images of the crypt are amazing! That would've been so cool to see!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! I love the idea of small shows in unexpected places.
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning setting for a concert! I wish I could have been there. And oddly, though I've long been a fan, I've never owned or entirely listened to any of her albums. Strange, no? I finally have time now.
ReplyDeleteHello fellow Boston blogger, just stopping by to say hi. I have not heard of this album but will def. check it out. thanks for sharing!

I had no idea she had a new album out! I feel like I'm living under a rock. Those pictures are amazing. That must have been quite a show.
ReplyDeleteJa, I think it's one of those albums that's going to take a few listens. The crypt concert reminds me of one that the Arcade Fire had in a church a few years back... pretty dramatic venues!
