i am sure that it is not news to you that solange knowles was recently named the face of

madewell's fall 2012 campaign-- but were you aware that she also just released a new single

from her first album in over three years and that she has her own visually delightful/

 aptly named site, my damn blog? 

i recently stumbled across these photos from her latest musical project,

a single called "losing you," and i am OBSESSED with everything about it. 

 inspired by the installation work of mickalene thomas, (who i've written about before!),

solange paired up with the brooklyn-based artist to film a teaser trailer for her song, 

which included unexpected print combinations, a seventies vibe, and a clueless

suck and blow game, which bound every beautiful person to the other for a

short moment. (watch the behind the scenes, here!)

the music video itself was released this past tuesday, and was filmed in

capetown, south africa- with just as many vibrantly-colored, inspiring print & texture

combinations, the same gorgeous people, and a bit of local flavor.
