tonight i visited antonio, my favorite makeup artist at mac cosmetics,

and we played around with makeup & discussed different techniques that i 

may want to try out for the wedding.

basically, i have already decided that i am going to do my own makeup on the big day, 

because every time i have ever had it done professional, i  have waited with closed eyes 

and baited breath only to open them and find a darkened eyebrow that i did not expect-

an eyeliner too thinly drawn, or an eyeshadow color that is totally unbecoming of me--

 and also because i want to look like myself on that day.

unlike the disappointing makeup experiences of my past, tony made up my face

exactly how i would do it myself- (so much so that nick did not even notice)

 and expressed total confidence in my ability to do something very much

 like what he did. let's keep our fingers crossed.
