two years ago today i wrote my first blog post.
i initially started this blog because i had an insatiable love for all things glamorous
and a unique way of looking at fashion that i felt i needed to share with whoever
cared to read it.
i originally began writing this blog with the hope of building a foundation for my
dream career as a wardrobe stylist- but along the way i began making jewelry,
writing for regarding design blog, making friends with lots of local bloggers who
share similar interests and dreams as i do, and have become way more interested
in the sociological aspect of fashion rather than rambling on about why i love
clothes so much.
and while in some ways, i have strayed a bit from what i set out to do-
i have found that writing this blog has opened up my life to so many
wonderful opportunities that i never would have had if i had kept all of
my thoughts to myself and never shared them with anyone.
i still have no idea what i want to do with my life, but i do know
that this creative process of writing every day has served me well,
and has helped me blossom into whatever i am meant to be.
thank you so much for reading.
ps. thank you to my bestfriends (my first readers) for surprising
me yesterday with this gorgeous bouquet of peonies!
Congratulations on two beautiful and fabulous years :)

Sami, What a lovely sentiment! And the flowers are beautiful. It may not be what you originally thought it would be but your blog is great and I say, just keep writing what feels good to you.

What a beautiful post! I am with you, writing and posting definitely helps me sort things out ;)
ReplyDeletePS - The Tree Of Life was visually amazing, such beautiful cinematography, the story was a bit disjointed for me, but I am glad I saw it, it definitely made me think.
happy blog birthday! (such beautiful flowers!) i love what you wrote, specifically this:
ReplyDelete"...this creative process of writing every day has served me well, and has helped me blossom into whatever i am meant to be."
very beautifully written :)
Congrats on your blog birthday! I am a fairly new blogger, and one of the things I enjoy about it so much is that it forces me to bring a little creativity into my life every day. Some days are definitely better than others, but at least I am trying! Keep up the (great!) work.
ReplyDeleteHey Sam,
ReplyDeleteIt's Gina from the fashion industry class two summers ago. You also went to a Ladies Who Launch event with me and Katie. I had no idea you had just started blogging at the time you emailed us about your blog. Suffice to say I thought it was awesome from the beginning and still do. I think I read it almost daily right along with the Sartorialist. Happy Blog Birthday!
