while watching the lady eve (1941) on netflix the other night, i could not help but
fall in love with the cropped top + high waisted skirt combination
that barbara stanwyck wears in the first scene.
with her bare midriff, ms. stanwyck looks so modern & fresh-- as if she just
stepped off the runway of dolce & gabbana's spring 2012 show.
