♥ the hair is the richest ornament of women.

my friend roxy blogged about her signature pony tail
the other day, and it got me thinking about a couple of things.

one: i don't really have a signature hair style because i normally
wear it down and like to cut it into all different shapes.

two: how amazing would it be to be recognizable by your hair alone?

check out this website, dedicated to history's most
famous hairstyles & the people who wore them.

8 ♥ love notes.:

  1. No one has hair like Frida - you can spot her locks from miles away!!

I just cut bangs but before that, my hair was always worn down. I used to only part it on the left hand side and during my "I'm so cool look at me I'm into music and have tattoos" days, I went for the deep side part. Then it became more subtle. But now I'm rockin bangs so I don't identify myself with that boring old hair style, it feels good.

  4. That is so awesome! I too just wear my hair down almost every day! I need to change it up I think!

  5. Such cute illustrations! First thing that came to mind when I read this was Lani of Mon Petit Chou Chou and her signature bun.

When I had longer hair I had a signature side braid, but now I think it's just a signature color... until I get bored, at least! ;)

  6. Ahh, that would be so cool! But I don't think I could fully commit to one hair style like that. I hope that Anna W. made her way into that list...

  7. That website is amazing! I, too, wish I had a signature hair style. Straight, limp and flat is NOT a fashion statement, unfortunately... :)

  8. I often tie my hair in a knot. When I'm working or cooking, I'll twist it into a knot that looks like a bun on the back of my head with the ends of my hair spilling out the middle. I wouldn't say it's glamorous, but if I had to pick a signature hairstyle, I suppose that would be it. And if my hair wasn't stringy and dry (the things I hate most about it), I wouldn't be able to sport this 'do. Wish I could pull off the Virginia!

    xoxo.
