i drink alot of water- but probably not as much as i should.

i feel like i start the day off strong with a few bottles of water between 

breakfast and lunch, but then by the time dinner rolls around, 

i forget to drink more.

i love how each floral portrait is so unique, even though

i have never been one for up-do's--but the retro-inspired stylings of

miss ally of australian blog, the vintage valley, make me 

want to find the time, patience and skill to do something

a little more exciting than just wearing it down 

every single day.

spring is but a few days away,

and yet the arctic chill in the air has

made it hard to believe it will ever come.

while i usually live on the pleasant land of winter denial,

i cannot help but feel totally done with the freezing temperatures,

salt-covered everything and the extra layers required just to venture

outside. the only thing that makes me feel slightly optimistic are

these beautiful pictures from my friend, michael of the trendy dwarf.

these new york ladies know how to layer in a creative way-

mixing a bit of fur with a bit of glitter and a bit of color.

if you have to dress for this bullshit weather,

 you may as well make it interesting.

felt connected to this wonderful person who seems to love

books as much as (or maybe more!) than i do-

what is my new favorite tumblr, you ask?

national geographic found.

the stunning photography, the simple captions, 

and the fact that some of these pictures were taken so long

ago, but look as if they were taken just yesterday, 

are among some of the reasons i am in love

with this blog.

a few weeks ago, i met a colorful spirit named feda.

i was at work, rushed and annoyed and underneath a huge pile of denim-

when this lovely lady recognized me from this blog and absolutely

made my day by telling me how much she liked it :)

turns out, feda eid is skilled photographer, and i have

actually featured her work here before!

aside from her blog, where she shares photographs from her 

project life 365,  her website also includes project introspection, 

where she turns the camera on her own fabulous self &

 her extraordinary headpieces.
